Role Overview
Xlides is a post-production studio for tech companies and venture capital firms. We edit their podcasts, launch videos and short-form content. The founders and investors on these shows are people the industry pays attention to, so the work has to be good.
As a Trailer Editor, you'll take full episodes and turn them into one-minute trailers. We handle the clients, the briefs and the feedback. Your job is the edit.
What you'll do
- Edit one-minute trailers for podcasts from tech companies and VC firms
- Go through the raw footage, pull the strongest moments and pace them into a cut that holds from the first second to the last
- Cut and tighten episode intros
- Choose music and transitions that fit the show, either building the theme yourself or working within themes we've already set
- Handle the sound engineering so dialogue, music and effects sit cleanly together
- Own post-production on every trailer through to final export
What we're looking for
We work with some of the most closely watched companies and investors in tech, and we're building a team that can match that level.
- A portfolio of trailers, promos or sizzle reels you've cut. Send the actual work, not a general showreel.
- A strong feel for pacing. You can explain why each moment sits where it does.
- Confident in Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Clean audio work. You can sit dialogue over music without it turning muddy.
- Reliable on deadlines

- Experience editing podcasts or long-form interviews
- An interest in tech, startups or venture capital, which makes it easier to spot the moment that matters
